Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Rumrd (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. By using the App, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

3. Account and Verification

You must verify a valid maritime industry work email to access the App's features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. Each person may only maintain one account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Post objectionable, abusive, harassing, threatening, or hateful content
  • Post content that is discriminatory based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
  • Engage in market manipulation, including coordinating trading positions or disseminating false market information
  • Share material nonpublic information or confidential fixture details
  • Attempt to influence freight benchmarks or coordinate benchmark submissions
  • Reproduce proprietary Baltic Exchange data (indices, route assessments, fixture lists)
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your professional affiliation
  • Post spam, advertisements, or promotional material without authorization
  • Attempt to deanonymize other users
  • Circumvent content moderation or abuse prevention systems
  • Use the App to facilitate any illegal activity

5. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Content that violates these terms will be removed, and users who post such content will be permanently banned. We act on all reports within 24 hours.

6. Content Moderation

All user-generated content is subject to automated and manual review. We employ keyword filtering, AI-based content analysis, and community reporting to identify and remove content that violates these terms. We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion.

7. User Reporting and Blocking

Users can report objectionable content and abusive users directly within the App. Users can block other users, which prevents all further interaction. Users can delete their own posts at any time.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your content within the App. We may retain deleted content for regulatory compliance purposes.

9. Anonymity and Identity

Your identity is pseudonymous to other users but known to the platform via your verified work email. We may disclose your identity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities (including the FCA, CFTC, and MAS) if required by law or if we reasonably believe your activity constitutes market manipulation or other illegal conduct.

10. Not a Trading Venue

This App is NOT a trading venue. No transactions, fixtures, or contracts of any kind may be executed through the App. The App is a discussion forum only.

11. No Financial Advice

Content posted on the App represents individual views only and does not constitute investment advice, trading recommendations, or financial guidance.

12. Intellectual Property

You may not reproduce copyrighted material, including but not limited to Baltic Exchange proprietary data, without authorization.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

14. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any user-generated content.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bare Mitt AS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway.
